Just in case anyone's keeping track

Kaitlyn and I spent last night in the Emergency Room because she started having trouble breathing on Saturday and it got worse by Sunday night. I seriously cannot believe the string of bad luck this child has endured. She screamed during most of our ER visit and during most of our trip to her ped's office today. She received a breathing treatment and oral steroid medication to help her breath easier. The ped thinks its a respiratory virus but we have to go back tomorrow for follow up...shocker...

Pool and Picnic

This past weekend, Aunt Marge (aka Mary) had us all over to her pool for a great picnic and swim! I LOVE the pool and spent a lot of time practicing for California in my float!

Around the house

My walking skills are definitely improving! I am pretty much walking 100% of the time now. The next thing I need to work on is keeping shoes on my feet!

Playdate with Marianna!

12 month stats are in!

Well actually 13 month stats. Let me explain....

I can't even really remember when Kaitlyn was fully healthy. Whenever it was was WAY before her birthday on June 27th. We have been through a lot the past couple of months including but not limited to:

Ear infection
Cough
which turned into Croup
Cold
Yeast infection
which developed from the antibiotics used to treat the Ear infection
Many different kinds of treatments (and doctors visits) for the Yeast infection (that didn't work)
Horrible excema outbreak
which was originally thought to be a Heat Rash

Hmmm. is that it? All of that adds up to 1 miserable baby, a lot of time and energy from mommy and daddy, and a million dollars in co-pays. Needless to say - I was extrememly concerned when I took her for her 12 month shots today (they won't do a well visit unless she is actually well and it took until she was 13 months to actually keep this appointment!)

So today she had the controversial MMR vaccine. It took several discussions with the front desk, 3 nurses, and the actual pediatrician to come to an agreement. We would delay the other 2 shots for now and just give the MMR. I feel good about that decision.

And her stats:

25 lbs/8oz (STILL 95%)!!
30.5 inches (STILL 75%)!!

She is right on track with where she should be. No pictures today but I will add more soon - rest assured!!

Marshbank Park

Today we went to Marshbank Park to see a live puppet show! It was a great day - not a cloud in the sky so we packed up the stroller, a little lunch, and a blanket and made our way out to West Bloomfield. Carrie and Marianna were there along with some of their friends so it ended up being really fun!

This past weekend, we got out the cute chair that Marla and Terrill made for me just after I was born! I am just now big enough to play with it.. A few shots of me before the chair..

Grace's 2nd Birthday Party

Sunday was Grace's birthday party at the lake! We also spent some time at the pool. What a great day it was and you will see that I had sooo much fun playing with all my friends.

My favorite game

My new favorite game is to run into the tent and hide!! To get me started just say...."Hey - does anyone know where Kaitlyn is???"  I will immediately run into the tent, pull the flaps closed and peek my head out when I'm ready!

Mommy and Daddy got out my carseat this past weekend to try and figure it out before our trip to California in a few weeks. They need to learn how to install it into a lap seatbelt so I can sit safely on the plane(not just the latch system for use in cars which is simple!). I just loved climbing on it!!!
