End-of-the-summer vacation

Our end-of-the-summer vacation was so much more than we ever thought possible! We did several daytrips (including Mackinac Island!), had great food (thanks grammama and grampie), and enjoyed great company (yeah peter's family!!)

end of summer tball

It started out a little rough but by the end of the summer, Kaitlyn and her tball team had improved significantly! It was a great experience for her to be on a team and commit to going to the practices and games :)

It was so hot, I think McKenna was trying to keep cool under the table hahaha!

 The popcorn tubs have been a huuuge hit aunt kathy!!! And have helped us stay sane on our days stuck inside :)

dinosaur hill

It has been sooooooo hot we have been having a hard time crossing things off of our summer bucket list! We managed to cross off "walking a nature trail" though, when we stumbled upon dinosaur hill in rochester a few weeks ago. Wow, this place is awesome!!! We spotted lots of animals including an entire deer family (so close to us, I had to make sure the girls didn't run towards them!). After walking the trail, we came across an adorable (and deserted) nature center, then a conveniently located picnic table for us to eat lunch - how fun!!! One of the biggest draws inside was the live beehive! This is one we will have to go back to for sure!
