McKenna - 4 years old!

 What an awesome day we had in celebration of little Miss McKenna's 4th birthday. From her birthday breakfast (chocolate chip blueberry pancakes), to her Ariel dress up clothes, to her dinner at Rainforest Cafe, and her last present - tickets to the Tigers game for that day!

Our little girl is so full of love and spirit! You will see it in her eyes.

First Day of 1st Grade

The summer homework was done, backpacks packed, the supplies were bought and labeled, new shoes velcroed up, first day french-braids, back to school breakfast, and just like that - school was back in session. Here's to a wonderful year to our adorable, energetic, innocent, smart, creative FIRST GRADER!

After the days of summer are gone.

 

It is slowly but surely coming to an end,  so I am posting these pictures as a reminder of what a wonderful summer we had. It was FULL of dress-up, make-believe, parks, princesses, pools, playing catch, tball, and lots and lots of reading! If you would have told me how sweet 6 and 4 would be, I wouldn't have believed you. They are at the absolute perfect ages. Now. To make time stand still?

Aunt Marla always says "make sure to capture their voices, what they sound like"....

Love it :) Just to hear the way they interact with each other :)

 I told you there was lots of reading. We are loving the Ramona books, Magic Tree House series, and the Rainbow Fairy chapter books. We are also 1 chapter into Harry Potter! Kaitlyn is quite the story-teller and will read until 10-11pm every night! We are all loving having our little reader in the house!

Mía Mariú Colors For Your Every Mood

I was so excited to review this makeup set from Mia Mariu.

My items arrived neatly packaged and clearly labeled. As soon as I found the gold gloss adjuster, I put it on. I'm so  into gold right now! It also came with 3 Hydrating Stick Glosses in varying colors. The color I tested, Encanto, lasted all day - seriously. Like noon to 10pm. Nice!

I also loved the eyeshadow crease brush. The brush I normally use is softer than the MIa Mariu, but I think their brush helps (saves time) when defining the crease. The shadow colors in my set were "cool". I threw on a white base with the dark grey in the crease, blended it, and was good to go!

The other thing I love about the set is their eyeshadow case (the brunette with hoops) with a huge handheld mirror inside.
