I am in a great mood today so mom and dad can't be too sad!

Bye Ionie :(
Warning..this is very sad for you animal lovers...
I guess it was bad timing that Kaitlyn started saying "onie onie onie" this week.
Today we said goodbye to our cat - Ionie. It was very peaceful and comforting at the end for her. She lived a very long life - 14 years! She went through a lot in that time which included surviving 4 years at Western Michigan, various apartments, houses, and condos - and finally - inviting a new member of the family home.
Following are just a few shots that I had of her. Kaitlyn got way more camera time.
We'll miss you Onie!
Fall Decorating
My first field trip!
Yesterday was the perfect day to go to Bowers farm with my friends from Gateway!
Here was the beginning of the corn maze that we walked through. Fortunately - they only took us so far. All of our little legs were tired!
Here we are on the hayride going by a huge pasture with lots of horses!
Here I am with Angelo checking out the goats and the sheep -

15 month stats are in!
We were a few weeks late because they recommended we wait until the beginning of October so she could get a flu shot but the stats from yesterday's well visit are in:
28.5 lbs!
32 inches!
I don't know what happened but somewhere between seeing the doctor and waiting the 60 MINUTES for the nurse to get the shots prepared, Kaitlyn had a major meltdown in the doctors office. I mean flailing her arms/legs and body on the cold cement floor, screaming and crying and throwing a tantrum. It started simply because she pointed to the door and said "outside" and I said "no. we have to wait here for a little while longer"... this is her latest thing. She knows how to get what she wants now - whether it be food, outside, car..and if she doesn't get it - someone help us all. Her doctor even said to me "you have a very strong-willed baby" in a sympathetic tone. Hmm..should I be concerned or happy about this...?
