Last day of Kindergarten

And just like that, at the end of May, Kaitlyn officially graduated from Kindergarten and it was the sweetest, most emotional day for us all. The ceremony included several songs, awards for each student (Kaitlyn got the artist award!), and a video of the year (in pictures). Mrs. Weingarten gave Kaitlyn a very special book telling her how proud of her she was (Look how far you've come). She brought that book home along with piles and piles of work she had done throughout the year. As we went through all of her work, and then read the book that day, I watched my little girl mature right before my eyes. Her eyes welled up with tears and she burst into the most heartbreaking cry. She didn't want to graduate. She didn't want Kindergarten to be over. She loved Miss Howell. She couldn't read that book anymore because it was so nice. But how could it be so sad if it was so nice. Miss Howell was just so nice. Miss Howell was so proud of her. Miss Howell was so nice. Oh it broke my heart and I cried right along with her. After about 45 minutes, she fell asleep and with that, Kindergarten was over. Oh how I already miss the innocence of Kindergarten...

Here she is..my sweet FIRST GRADER TO BE!
